Pediatric physical therapists collaborate with families and young patients to provide therapies that support a child's capacity for independent functioning and active engagement in the home, school, and community environments. Physical therapists employ the process of examination, evaluation, diagnosis, and intervention to use their knowledge of movement and clinical reasoning. Pediatric physical therapy encourages independence, boosts involvement, supports motor function and development, develops strength and endurance, improves learning possibilities, and lessens problems associated with providing daily care.
